Q. Is this free?
A. The Placement tests are FREE. There is no charge for me to analyze your results and design a set of lessons to help you reach your English language goals.
However, this is my business and I do charge for lessons. My time is valuable, just as improved fluency in English is of value to the students.
Q. Are there individual lessons available, or only a 30-hour course?
A. There is a 10-hour minimum enrollment, as well as 30-hour and 60-hour courses.
Q. What do the lessons and courses cost?
A. Currently, the basic rate is $30 per hour, paid for, in advance. There is a discount for 10, 30, and 60-hour packages courses. Ten hours is the minimum enrollment.
Q. How long is each lesson?
A. Lessons are either sixty-minutes each or two hours per session. It is the student’s choice.
Q. How do you conduct lessons?
A. Normally, lessons are conducted, via video chat. On occasion, if a student does not have a good internet connection, we will conduct some lessons by phone.
Zoom.us. Students use the free version or a smartphone, tablet, or computer.
I use shared screens, whiteboards, audio and video files, online quizzes and homework and whatever else I can use to help the students achieve their English fluency goals.
Q. How do I pay.
A. I accept PayPal or bank transfer via Zelle.
Q. Do you offer refunds?
A. Yes, you may request a refund of package payments for up to three days after you pay your retainer if no classes have been scheduled.
Note that payment for packages (10, 30, 60 classes, or other multiples) is a retainer for a specific number of class hours. These payments, are generally given a discount for advance payment, and are retainers for a certain number of class hours and are not refundable after the first lesson has been scheduled. You have retained the instructor for a package of 10, 30, or 60 hours. You may take the classes over any time period (based on instructor availability) until the number of hours is exhausted. The only limit is that the package must be used with a specified time frame. i.e. If you have a 10-hour package, you have 20 weeks to use the hours. If you have a 30-hour package, you have 45 weeks to use the hours. If you have a 60-hour package, you have 75 weeks to use the hours. If an exception is requested, the determination is at the sole discretion of the instructor.
