Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
Pricing
When you first schedule a Private Lesson, we send, via email, a Placement Test. Please allow about two hours to complete the test. You can take breaks because only the Listening section is timed (about 12-15 minutes). The first lesson, after the Placement Test, is free, and we use it to explain the results, and determined your goals, wants , and needs for improving your English.
Pricing is based on the above. Someone who scores in the high intermediate or advanced level, and only needs conversation (listening and speaking) will not require, from the teacher, the same amount of effort as someone preparing for the IELTS exam. While subject to change, typical charges range from $15 to $60 per hour.
Payment
A retainer is required to reserve a scheduled lesson time. Until the retainer is paid, someone else may secure it. When you schedule a date and time, it is held, for you, for 48 hours. If the retainer is not received, within those 48 hours, your name is removed from the schedule, so that others may use the time. However, when payment is received, no one else my schedule that time slot. Essentially, the time period is removed from the teacher’s inventory. For this reason, the retainer is non-refundable. Payments must be made via PayPal, unless other arrangements have been made.
